Once we discovered Basil's, we never miss a visit while visiting the Port Hope Area! I have recommended this eatery to many and have yet to have someone tell me they were disappointed! Everything is delicious and the service is, as if you were enjoying a meal at your own table! Always pleasantly greeted and warm smiles aplenty! What Mozelle Oberbrunner doesn't like about Basil's Market & Deli:
Had an unfortunate visit to this restaurant while travelling through. Noted animal hair on one of our sandwiches and on the plate which obviously put off eating it. Didn't even get an apology when It was pointed out to them. I also noted the the local Health Unit unfortunately does not post their inspection notices in this area. View all feedback.
Great food, reasonably priced, small-town friendly service. Busy, not as fast as McDonald. Worth the wait!

Love our weekly trips to Basils. My dad will drive from Oshawa for the lobster bisque (and so would I)!
Basil's is a great place to meet and eat! Food is great and service is friendly. There's always someone I know in there and you never know who else will show up!
Went to Basil's last Sunday with a friend for a birthday lunch, it was the first time either of us had been there, its was very busy with locals which is always nice to see, the staff was Awesome and the food was great to, and even though they were extremely busy they 4 ladys brought my friend out a yummy piece of cake for her bday and the whole place sang, so if your looking for a good place to eat, stop by and say HI !!
