A lovely little hometown spot with a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere. My wife and I tried the Valley Burger, and they were fantastic—definitely some of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. We even had the chance to chat with Chuck, the owner, who was a genuinely nice guy. The next time we're in town, this will be our go-to place for a meal and some relaxation. View all feedback.
What Marty K doesn't like about Valley Tavern:
A mere shadow of its former self. If you enjoy watching older patrons indulge in excessive drinking while reminiscing about their past glories, then this is the place for you—a true dive bar experience. Authentic French cuisine, but it feels lost. View all feedback.
The fish and chips are from this world. The bread on the chips is like no other. Fish and chips are served on Friday nights. The burgers are huge, with half a pound. Don't go if you're in a hurry. Sit down and enjoy the friendly staff. A wide selection of beers. This is my new favorite tavern in Washington.
Valley Tavern is the best! Anytime our camper club shows up (and that can be anywhere from 10 to 30 people) they always make room for us and the service is terrific! So if you are in Port Townsend, Port Hadlock, or just in the vicinity for a drive, stop in for one of the best cheeseburgers on the Peninsula ... and always a great IPA on tap ... it is so worth it! 01/02/15
Love the Valley! Favorite place to gather with friends and new people. Food is great, too. Thick steaks Tuesday evenings, fish Friday evenings, and the Valley Burger is one of the best ever. Burger available every day.
