Port Of Mexico - PORT FAIRY

I rarely write a poor review but this business really prepared such a poor meal I'd hope I can be constructive. It was low season in Port Fairy but the food was not fresh and serving cold tortillas with hot food inside results in the meat sweating and it's unpleasant. The menu looks great but the food looked like Mexican my kids make. Nice venue and I hope it was just a bad night.

Wildly overpriced for very ordinary food. It is about as Mexican as McDonald's but nowhere near as good. My wife and I called for a couple of drinks during their Happy Hour on a Friday afternoon. We had three drinks between us, 2 priced at $10 and 1 at $8. We ordered a bowl of corn chips with a little bowl of guacamole and another little bowl of sour cream. Total charge was $51. That meant our snack was $23 and that equates to highway robbery with a vengeance. Never again for us and be warned.

Port Fairy has a many great eateries. And this cute little Mexican place didn't disappoint...tasty food and lovely atmosphere. The vinyl collection and turn table was a nice touch.

Despite some confusion as to where the sour cream was to go, I asked for an ocean of the stuff, which I expected to be in a separate bowl but which they put in my beef burrito. It was delicious and now this happy accident is something I would heartily recommend to anyone. Lovely staff, great tunes on the scratchy old record player and great food. What's not to love?

What a great place. came for dinner with family and friends. Funky atmosphere and great background music. Food was tasty but could have been a little warmer. Staff were friendly and welcoming. will visit this place again.
