We went for a coffee and cake and it was very pleasant. You can both inside or like we did on the deck enjoying the winter sun.We were there only for cofffee but diners seemed to be enjoying their lunch.A limited range but very tasty cakes are on offer but the coffee only average. This is a lovely spot to visit, only open a few days a week they have combined a small vineyard and cellar door with an up market gift shop.... What User doesn't like about No 58 Cellar Door and Gallery:
We were a little disappointed with this cellar door. We were served by a lovely young girl, but she had no wine knowledge. Didn't really have any information on the wine being tasted. We didn't eat, so can't comment other then the meals are pre-done and reheated. The cellar door was on our way to Victor Harbor when travelling from Port Elliot. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. I took a group of friends to No. 58 for lunch today. We had a fantastic meal, and the Quinoa Salad was amazing. Everyone in the group was very satisfied with the food. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. We had no complaints at all. We couldn't find a single fault with anything.
I booked 22 ladies in for an afternoon tea. Very dispointed. For $12.00 per person were were promised platters of cake and coffee. What we received was small plates with cake that looked like it was purchased from the supermarket. There was not even 1...piece per person! The service was slow and the owner didn’t even bother to be there. This was a local group of ladies. I have frequented this cafe for years. I will not be returning.
20 minutes walked with woman and small child. at arrival at 4.45 clock said the guy that were closed. no real explanation and only quite rude. Opening times are listed as 10 o'clock 9 o'clock. some other people have drunk outside. avoid
We decided to stop in after taking a look. The atmosphere was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. We opted to share the broth and dumplings, and the portion was very generous and delicious. Overall, it was a very lovely dining experience.
For a quick tasting remained for the afternoon tee in one of the lounge areas. wein comes from limestone floor, which means that it is not difficult, but still very drinkable. be here again
