Great place for very fresh sushi, sashimi, noodles soups, etc. Limited menu but good quality. Very small restaurant as noted in other reviews. Either make a reservation for a table or be prepared to carry away. View all feedback.

What Ramonas Ksenija dislikes about zipangu:
The service from Louise was friendly and professional. We had our mains and loved them. But we saw the Morton bay bugs and wanted more. A tempura batter and lightly fried. Well melt in the mouth. I honestly was amazed but this. Yummy. The owner also made us feel welcomed. We will be back . View all feedback.

Absolutely delicious sushi, prepared with the freshest ingredients. The gyoza, made from scratch, is the best I've had. Good selection of sake and beer. The owner is charming and attentive. Zipangu is THE place to go for sushi lovers in Port Douglas. Do not hesitate to walk the ten minutes down Davidson Street, away from the bustle of Macrossan. You will be richly rewarded.

This was an out of the way place, but the sushi was good. We had a variety of sushi and ramen. It was all good.

Tucked away from the main road, this restaurant may not look like much from the outside. However, the food is truly spectacular and the service is warm and friendly. While not the most affordable option, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. My expectations were exceeded in every way. If you're in the mood for high-quality Japanese cuisine in Port, this place is definitely worth checking out. Just be sure to book in advance as it's a small establishment that fills up quickly.

Great little unassuming restaurant, a real find. Definitely need to book-there’s say 5 or 6 tables so it’s tiny but also very casual and intimate. Lovely service and husband and wife owners-their care for the food really shows. Beautiful fresh food, the miso was piping hot and fresh, as was the vegetable tempura (light and tasty batter), salmon sushi, gyoza, edamame and crispy chicken karaage. Not cheap (very few places in Port are), but worth it for really beautiful quality food, lovely non-pressured service and great sake. We ordered a heap, but will definitely be back next time to try desserts too.
