Nice fresh food, we visited on a Monday night and had not booked, the place was packed. We were initially given an inside table, but were moved to an outside table when one became available, before we had ordered our food. We had burritos and fajitas, very nice food and plentiful serves. Staff were friendly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Mexican - Port Douglas:
You really must book in advance, as it is super busy - generally a good sign for any restaurant. We arrived at our booking time and had to wait a few mins to be seated, no big deal. Beers were well priced, and the starter chips with dips were great. Our mains came to our table while we were still on our starters which was a bit odd. Tacos were excellent, but the Nachos were drowning in too much liquidy cheese sauce -... View all feedback.
They initially seemed to understand the celiac disease and can contain traces. When ordering you can filter so that only the coeliac options are available are limited, but still a choice. Once selected items there is no place to write celiac or inform the kitchen, I informed staff who said they will inform the kitchen. Delicious food but ended extremely uneasy... shocked as it seems so good reviews, but I do not recommend if you are a celiac
You have highlighted a menu with friendly options that is super helpful. All you have to do is ask your server for it. You understand CD and CC. The food and drinks are delicious! 10/10 will be back
Has a dedicated Gf menu and the staff are knowledgeable about coeliac. Great Mexican food!!
A limited menu and wanted to be very careful after the last review. Just had the vegan taco and Birria tacos. All right.
I had the birria tacos, I had no reaction. They were very delicious! The only one on the menu that seemed safe for someone with Celiac disease were the tacos. No chips or other products were Celiac friendly.
