Me and my family regularly eat at Santa Rosa, and buy their products (Tortillas, flour and corn, salsas, guacamole, chips) for home. My wife is Mexican and we all love Santa Rosa's delicious authentic food. My kids (3 and 5 years old) love visiting and love the food too. The prices are very reasonable, especially for fresh made, high quality food. I highly recommend Santa Rosa to anyone who likes Mexican food (and wh... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Santa Rosa:
When I first found this place around 5 years ago I was super excited! The food was good and at a great price. But over the years I have found the quality of the food declining! And everything tastes the same! And the service sucks! They used to be happy and polite, now I don't feel welcome and they act like they are bothered by having to serve you. The prices are good. And they serve beer which is nice. But I only go... View all feedback.
I've actually been here twice since this place was mentioned at a Weight Watchers meeting as a good local spot. When I first read the menu board I wasn't sure that there was anything lower calorie but a closer reading revealed two delicious alternatives: the pozole soup and the chicken with pablano mole sauce. The Pozole is a large bowl of soup with shredded chicken and filling hominy grits, topped with ice berg lettuce and radish slices served with two fairly bland tostadas. The mole sauce on the chicken was tasty although the chicken pieces were small and not very warm, having been partially reheated. The salad served beside it had a tasty dressing that tasted of corn oil and spices. My dining companion on my second outing had the mole chicken enchiladas and found them satisfying. He was given some hot sauce to add spice but found he didn't need it. The deli eating area is immaculate and smells of warm, toasty tortilla chips which line the shelves at one end of the area. As I'm sure others have pointed out, the hours aren't very accommodating for supper time eaters.
I live close to Santa Rosa; I often come here for chips and fresh salsa. The salsa is good and you can taste the ingredients. The chips are very thinly sliced. The food here in general is more like homemade food so some of it is a little bland in which you add some salt. The guacamole tostadas is excellent.
This is a great hidden gem in an industrial area of Port Coquitlam. The food is very authentic Mexican and very good. Instead of your run of the mill Taco Bell or Taco Del Mar, this is a refreshing change so you can experience what Mexican food should actually taste like. Their chicken nachos are really good and I love their tacos. Highly recommend!
Order anything and don't forget to take home some tortillas and chips, check out the sauces as well to help create that taste at home

I was bummed out by the quality going down because I live close and i like to support local businesses! I would eat there more often it things hadn't changed.
