If you are in Port and want to eat great food and literally fill your face, then this is the place for you. I go there at least 8 times a month and I am always pleased with the quality of food and the fact that every time I go I get greeted by the owner as if I were family. Don't go to any other place in Port. They can't compete with the Gourmet. View all feedback.
What Marco Lang doesn't like about Gourmet Restaurant:
Wonderful take out. The best chicken chow mein ever! Full of crunchy freshness and chicken. Great service and owners are wonderful people. That being said, it advertises as a buffet and we have tried three times. The freshness just isn't there. Sorry to say strike out on that aspect for us but I know others that do enjoy it and the prices are certainly right. View all feedback.
I come here all the time and the selection is still great. I found for lunch that coming before 12pm you will need to wait a few minutes to have all the food available. If you arrive after 1:30pm the food is great unless you...More
The selection was minimal. Many trays empty. Pork in way too many items. I was so disappointed with the food and even more the service. Worst dinner i have had in a long time.
This is a great place for chinese food. The buffet is always hot and full. If something is getting low, just ask and they bring hot fresh food out immediately.
Its a small restaurant with terrific chinese food. They have buffet which is the main thing they are known for by locals as well as pickup and delivery.
Hi all,I never write reviews, but I made an account on here because let me tell you, this restaurant is certainly out of this world! I do not live in this small town, I actually got lost with my husband while trying to reach another destination. We are from Toronto. We got hungry, so of course, we asked the locals where the best Chinese food was. The majority of them told us the Gourmet, so what did we do? We went of course! When we walked in we were greeted by a lady and I truly did feel like family while dining at this place. The service, absolutely wonderful. BUT. What matters most? THE FOOD! We opted for the buffet, although they have an option to order from the menu. Although I have lived in Toronto for a good 12 years and tried many many many Chinese restaurants, let me tell you.......this restaurant is unbeatable. The food is hot, fresh, and delicious. It beats all the other ones! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If we ever get lost again, we are most definitely going to go here!
