This restaurant has been here for years! Hidden jewel you have to try. Yes Mexican cuisine is everywhere, but not everyone does it right... if you're not out of the area, plan to eat here before the show at the Capitol Theater View all feedback. What JB W doesn't like about Mexican Amer El Tio:
The restaurant is decent but not great. I ordered the combo of Chile Relleno and Chicken Enchilada. The Spicy Jalapeño Margarita was just okay, nothing too special. The service was poor. Overall, it's still a good place to dine at. View all feedback.

read moreEl Tío is a long-standing Mexican restaurant that offers a mix of service and food quality. While some patrons find it to be a hidden gem with amazing cheese enchiladas and guacamole, others are disappointed with the below-average food and lukewarm service. The restaurant has a loyal following and nostalgic appeal for some, with a personal touch from the owner, Jay. However, there have been mixed reactions regarding billing practices, including concerns about automatic gratuity fees. Overall, El Tío is a decent dining option with a diverse range of opinions among its customers.
