Over The Bridge - Port Charlotte

Surprisingly large venue. The large stage area for the band is easy to see from anywhere inside. We were with a large group of almost twenty, and they took our growing group quickly and friendly. Our waitress was friendly and got all orders on correct, complete with separate checks to the right people! Menu is quite standard pub fare, but it was all easy to swallow.

Music and atmosphere great. Waitstaff and bar tenders worked hard. But the place was understaffed. The business is loosing money because it took a long time to place an order an even longer time to get the order. Meaning less drinks and food. At 6;30 on Saturday night and they were out of certain dishes. I will go back because it is a fun place. Also, a blond behind the bar kept styling her hair with her fingers while making drinks. Gross!

Service was spotty. Lots of staff didn't seem to be operating efficiently. When I was served the wrong beer, twice, it was laughed off, no replacement or any kind of comp offered. Venue was good, band was great! We will go back, but won't go hungry or thirsty. The sampler platter was good, lots of food, not hot. We were near the kitchen saw lots of food being run around, often passing us several times before it was delivered to a table.

Cute place. Not at all impressed by the food. We didn't try the bar drinks. Shrimp tacos were ok. Very small. They were out of salsa and sour cream- found that out 3 bites into the first taco. The pulled pork was very bland and dry. The wings, while larger than run of the mill .60 cent wings, had a layer of thick skin and fat. They were mushy and very soft, not at all crispy, as you would expect from fried food. Our server was a lovely and sweet girl. They have live music, so we may see that sometime, but we definitely won't be eating there again. Also, at 7 pm on a Thursday, the place was like a q-tip factory. Definitely reeling in the 65+ demographic.

First time at OTB Friday night Dec 20, 2019. Great band American Made was the entertainment. Very, very poor service. Arrived for 6:15pm Dinner reservation ...there were 7 people in our party. Drinks and appetizers came in good time, but the rest of the night sucked. We ordered our meal at 730PM and never got it...really!! Also waited close to an hour for drink refills...really!! And that was after my husband and our friend hunted out our waitress on two separate occasions...really!! I DO NOT blame the waitress, but rather Management!! American Made is a very popular and awesome band. Management DID NOT prepare, nor did they schedule enough staff on hand. We finally left the OTB at 9:45pm WITHOUT ever getting our dinner. We went to Dean 's and had a wonder dinner there with great service and entertainment. I will give this place one more try and pray for a better night out!!
