Jd's Bistro And Grille - Port Charlotte

We split the rack of lamb (8 ribs) and the the oven roasted vegetables. As always, we started with the chef’s pate and brought half home for the following day’s lunch. Our server was a little chatty given the number of tables she had but overall the service was very good. The jazz was very good. There was a large party in the other half of the room so it was a little noisier than usual but not so much that we couldn’t talk or enjoy the music.

It was so special to get to JD's on my hubby's birthday and to see a nice spray of balloons on the table and a card signed by all the staff. So cool! They kindly took the balloons away until we were ready to leave. Tiffani was very attentive. The osso bucco was delicious as was the shrimp cocktail with avocado salad. I wish I had ordered the lobster over the crab cakes, as I like a nice plain lump crabmeat cake but these were more spiced and not lump. They were very good with the sauces. The musicians were very fun to listen to and the music was not so loud you couldn't have a conversation at the table. We even danced! All in all a great evening at JDs. One of many to come.

It was my first time their I took my boyfriend because it was his birthday we were very disappointed the service was not good at all we had to wait for a glass of wine for 15minutes and our food came first and my chicken was not cooked it was roar very bad experience!

Great venue for listening to some excellent Jazz. Food is quite expensive but the menu is fairly wide. The steak was not especially tasty, but the lobster dish was excellent.
