Kattabomman - Port Blair

Masala Dosa was quite nice. Coconut chutney is also good. Sambhar was not that good. Tried coffee after watching the reviews but it was average and not worth the price.

Good clean and quick service, quality wise not as good as mainland, but I suppose this is the best South veg food option in Port Blair as I see from reviews

We being pure vegetarian were looking for a pure veg restaurant in Port Blair. Our hotel manager suggested to dine out at Hotel Kattabomman. This is a place with variety of south Indian dishes in their bouquet of available food items. The quality and taste of food is excellent. Service is quite fast. The owner of the hotel is completely involved and always on foot to serve the visitors. The restaurant opens at 7 in the morning and open till 10 pm at night. This place is an excellent option for pure vegetarians in Port Blair where you find less options for pure veg restaurant. Being in a tourist place the food here is cheaper as compared to others in the locality. The occupancy is limited but for a good food waiting for few minutes is a good investment. Their is a need to improve cleanliness of serving plates as sometimes they are not properly wiped before serving food. Apart from that it is highly recommended.

Best south indian food in economical rates as port blair restaurants are expensive but this resturant is value for money ,pure south indian meal,best vada,dosa,curd rice ,sambar rice ,ghee roast is must try ,space is small and congested as it's in main market of Aberdeen bazaar near clock tower,

Small Restaurant.. With pure vegetarian food South Indian Cuisine available here It's one of the two pure veg restaurant in port blair Sambar is watery and thin , 3 types of chutneys served, I like 2 of them, good taste Tea is made as Kerala style, like filter coffee, Tea water is added to boiled milk, So if you are fond of North Indian tea, don't try Rest taste is okay
