On a hungry whim and low blood sugar, the Missus needed a fix and there it was, the DQ.We thought of going across the street but were happy we didn't (this time).The young man who took our order was totally positive. It made us happy to be in his presence. He was very accommodating asking if we wanted the 'treat' later on and then bringing it to us (as he did with the meal).Parking was easy and we got a close up look... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Dairy Queen:
The usual Dairy Queen. Place looked clean and the freezer cake section was very well stocked. Staff seemed happy and did a good jub of geting the yummy stuff ready quickly. View all feedback.
Our first time in a DQ!! Had to ask for the key to the washroom! Ordered, hot drinks….yucky, over sweet! Waited 30 mins then asked about our meal……’there was a problem, we gave your order to someone else and are having to remake it’!!! No apology, no explanation just left to wait Food was mediocre at best, chips barely warm……cost $36+can. Never again in any DQ You only get one chance to make a 1st impression
The best place to get ice cream in port alberni, is the coombs country candy, here at DQ the food is good and the people are friendly
I ordered a 6 pc chicken strip mean and replaced the fries with a poutine upgrade and got fries instead of a poutine while I was charged for the poutine. Also their drinks taste all moldy they may need new pipes for their water or clean their machines but it has a weird taste with all their sodas
Horrible experience... arrived at 8.35 to grab some ice cream for kids walked to door that says it’s open till 9.00 already locked. Staff just looking at me, Come on only to see the next person allowed in to order. And then order is messed up wrong blizzards and no topping in them. Super disappointed
Worst DQ anywhere! Food is sub-par. They scrimp to the point that there's barely anything in the Blizzards. It may as well be advertised as vanilla only. I'll never be back. I can spend my money elsewhere and get better food.
