A fantastic experience. Great atmosphere, food, wine and staff. What more could you want?. This place was recommended by Auberge de Bel Air and we can't thank them enough for booking this place for us. We had great food and wine in a really unexpected surrounding we'll leave it there we wouldn't want to spoil your surprise!!! View all feedback.
What Raphael Erdman doesn't like about Le Chenal:
A strange place: part library part lounge, part concert venue, part restaurant. Decently varied menu with well-cooked and presented food at prices par for the course. Let down by slow service (the lass on duty did ordering, delivering and bar duty all on her own) and although the food was OK it wasn't as good as that at the Porsmeur just around the corner. We visited here for dinner one evening as well as using it as a stopover for coffees and snacks as we walked and cycled in the area. It’s a large restaurant with an outdoor terrace. Inside it’s very casual and different with a whole area cornered off for a book shop and a reading area. A nice touch. Our main evening meal was excellent. The menu is not large and if you’re a mussels lover than this is the place to be. Sadly we couldn’t get a starter size of mussels. We chose a steak dish just needed some meat for a change! and my wife had the fish of the day. Really tasty, well presented with slick but informal service. We will definitely return as the whole casual ambience, service and food just worked well.
Stopped here for an evening meal with kids and a dog. Beautiful view of the sunset tables outside were full, but they took us inside which was much warmer anyway! Good food, reasonably priced. Service was OK they were very busy so a little overstretched, but very friendly. Quirky decor and a good atmosphere.

A recommander fortement.
