Highly recommend this place, like a home away from home! Warm and friendly atmosphere with a lovely bar, open log fires and comfortable rooms! Just what you need to see the winter through

Beautiful pub with very friendly and helpful staff. have not eaten here, although this looks nice....the real ales on the other side I have sampled and I can say that they are first class.

This place is beautiful. my room is spacious and very comfortable. the team is friendly, helpful and thoughtful and offers simple solutions that make a difference. this morning to breakfast, an uncomplicated, perfectly cooked complete English. I have made a comment to the waitress that I would have made a mistake to make the Suduko puzzle in time and tried to find out where I was wrong. without missing a beat, she offered me a red pencil so I could write the new ones in another color. a simple thing that I know, but for me that shows a great care and attention to the guests needs. I enjoy it so much that I have extended my stay.

Relaxed, comfortable weekend spent at The Castle! Great location, good food and lovely staff. Even better was the welcome our dog received! Will be back again!
