What Maisie Reynolds doesn't like about Caroline's Restaurant:
I stopped for lunch here a few times. eating is quite typical what you would expect. the service is friendly and they get the meals in a decent time that was beautiful. View all feedback.
Sad to say but the prices have been raised too high for a small town. The food is average and most times the service is slow
I've stopped in here a couple of times for lunch. The food is fairly typical, what you'd expect. The service is friendly and they get the meals out in a decent time which was nice.
Always had looked forward to coming to enjoy their cutlets.Well myself and daughter her fiancee grandchild came in for supper on Friday July 08 at approx 530pm.Noticeably...no one else was in the entire restaurant but the staff. We received the new menus. An very unpleasant surprise. Prices skyrocketed. Burgers 14.99!We asked about a child's menu, the young lady server stated it wasn't made yet but they had kids "grilled cheese" so it was ordered.I ordered the cutlets. WORKER cutlets I've had.. were cheap processed type deep fried. Add insult they didn't come with gravy, as they always had! Was charged an extra buck. The baked potato was honestly the size of a large boiled potato. My future son in law had the 15 burger. Was the best meal.. but certainly not a gourmet 15..00 value Daughter had chicken strips, 3 aver sized strips with fries 10.00the "kids" grilled cheese ended up costing us 10.00... RIDICULOUS!The meal of 4 cost us 50.00 without beverages.Place will never stay with what is now such poor quality and REDICULOIS PRICES.Won't be bk.. was an annual ritual when I came to the Provincial park..would make the trip a few times each summer...that now ends
We were staying a couple of nights in nearby Greenwater Lake Park just before Christmas and arrived with a few provisions expecting to buy the rest at the on-site shop. However, both the shop and cafe are closed in the winter so we went into Porcupine Plain to try and find a meal and breakfast supplies. We arrived around 7.45pm to find the only food shop closed but two restaurants side by side still open -the one on the right (Carolines) said it closed at 8pm but the one on the left said open until 11pm so we went in -there was no one behind the counter and no menus on the tables. It appeared to only sell coffee and cakes. Finding the place seemingly deserted and with no one to ask, we went next door and asked humbly if they'd be able to serve us anything just before closing time - they said they would, and we had the choice of the full menu. I had an excellent beef lasagna and my wife had the mushroom burger, both excellent. My daughter and husband were equally happy with theirs, and no one was hovering to move us out the door even though we'd kept them over half an hour past closing time. They even sold us a loaf of bread so we had something for breakfast next morning! Needless to say we went back the following evening. Good quality, unpretentious food at reasonable prices
