I've always visited the Spanky's in Savannah, and I had no idea they had a location in Pooler! The food here is just as fantastic. I will definitely be returning! View all feedback.
What Stephanie Simons doesn't like about Spanky's Pizza Galley Saloon:
I’ll begin with the one positive note: the server was fantastic. She did her best under difficult circumstances, and nothing that went wrong was her fault. Now for the negatives: it took 30 minutes to receive a BLT and chicken fingers. When the food arrived, the bacon was nearly raw, and the chicken was cold and so overcooked that it felt like rubber. It actually hurt my teeth to try to eat it, and the potato wedges... View all feedback.
Great local chain of three restaurants. Great food, very generous portions, and excellent customer service.
My friend/fellow driver and I stopped for lunch today 5/17/22) and we were seated promptly. This place was kicking a few minutes before noon, lunch hour crew! Our server did fine, first. She took our drink orders and we browsed the menu. Isettled on the Cheese Quesadilla $10.00) and my friend decided on the BLT Price unknown). The food portions were a reasonablesize, we both couldn?t finish our food ???? The reason for the four stars is I paid with a $100 bill on my $13.38 check. Mychange was only $86.00, what happened to my 62 cents? It would have been one thing if I was advised about any ?coin shortage?,however, I wasn?t. 62 cents isn?t a big deal, I?m not destitute, I wanted what was owed. No worries, that change was towards thetip.
We waited 38 minutes, and I was optimistic, only to end up with cardboard. I’m so disappointed. Just as I was about to finish this review, my wife mentioned she took a picture. So, you tell me, fellow reviewers: does this look like pizza made from scratch or a piece of particle board? My entire family is from the Big City, so I know what decent pizza is. I get that not all pizza can match NYC standards, but this was just pure garbage. It’s not right to advertise it as anything other than what it is—particle board. P.S. We ended up eating salad from Love’s. The pizza went straight to the trash. My wife took a bite and I could see her reaction—I yelled “CARDBOARD!” I could tell from a mile away. Haha, I saved my wife today! Wooo Hoooo, go me! God bless and stay safe, everyone!

It actually hurt my teeth to try to eat it, and the potato wedges were also cold. When I requested a manager, she came out from the kitchen with a very unpleasant attitude. She was quite rude, literally snatching the plates away before storming off again.
