I ordered a jumbo sausage, chips, and curry sauce from this restaurant. The jumbo sausage was the best I've ever had from a chip shop, and the curry sauce was perfect. However, the chips were a letdown as they tasted reheated and looked overcooked. Despite this, I would still recommend this place and I will definitely visit again if I'm ever back in the area. What devondorset doesn't like about Tj's:
Always the same, despite being busy most lunchtimes they never have anything ready. More scared to loose a sausage than turn customers round quickly. If you arrive as a load of orders become ready, takes ages to order whilst they serve them then you start the wait for cooking. Yes it's fresh and nice but so so slow. Don’t have fish chips often but extremely lucky to have the best only 100m or so from our house. Fantastic again last night! Fresh, perfectly cooked cod with the best chops around.
We’ve been using TJ’s for years and they have been consistently providing delicious, freshly cooked fish and chips. Ringing ahead recommended, the queue on sunny days can get long! One more tip Evening Hill with the benches with views across Poole Harbour to Sandbanks and Brownsea Island is a perfect place to enjoy them.

Hard to beat really. Crispy chips, light batter and the way they are dealing with the Covid issues is spot on. Always drop by when we are in the area.
