The inviting atmosphere is complemented by friendly, attentive service and a robust selection of real ales, making it a perfect spot for all occasions. My dining companion and I went for lunch and both ordered the scallops, followed by the skate wing. The food was superb, cooked perfectly and very fresh. This was our first time dining here and we will absolutely be returning. The pub has kept its charming character and was extremely clean. The staff were also delightful. Hooray.
Popped in for lunch with friends. Very friendly staff, great real ale and a wonderful Stilton ploughman’s! What’s not to like.
Amazing fresh seafood that won’t be beaten in Poole. We had rock oysters and scallops to start which were fantastic and great value for money the mains were superb and the beers were plentiful.
We originally stopped by for a drink, but ended up trying some delicious fish dishes from a menu that caught our eye in the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. The fish was locally caught and changed daily, which added to the appeal. The restaurant seemed to be a favorite spot for locals, but we felt welcomed as visitors. Overall, it was a pleasant experience at a historic fisherman's inn.
Excellent meal great choice of fish (two large fillets seabass and one gurnard) very pleasant helpful (I'm disabled) staff.
