What Jam es dislikes about Bella Ciao:
The food was just “OK.” The pizza sauce had the texture and taste of plain passata, and it seemed like they may have run out of salt and seasoning. However, the dough, bread, and pasta were quite good. With a few improvements, this place could easily stand out from the competition. The service was good, and the prices were reasonable, but a little more flavor would significantly enhance the overall experience. I plan... View all feedback.

Brilliant little Italian, grate food fantastic staff. Hidden little gem
Not open when they said they would be. Disappointed to drive there park up to find it closed with no explanation.
Absolutely fantastic. It's only small but the atmosphere is lovely, the owner is very attentive and food was amazing. Was a bit nervous taking our two year old but food was available and again the owner was brilliant with him. The owner/chef was there alone tonight and apologised for the wait on food (20mins between starter and main) that's less than you'd wait in a big chain restaurant. 100% would return and definitely will be recommending it to family and friends.

I plan to return at some point in hopes of a more flavorful meal, but I’m not in a hurry to do so.

Nestled in the heart of Wales, this Italian restaurant deserves attention for its authentic flavors and inviting atmosphere. Diners rave about the wood-fired pizzas, especially the Bella Ciao with burrata, and the high-quality ingredients sourced from Italy. While some dishes could benefit from additional seasoning, the dough, bread, and pasta receive high praise. The service is noted for its warmth and attentiveness, enhancing the dining experience. Guests appreciate the delightful selection of cocktails and standout dishes like tuna and steak. Though a couple of reservations fell through, many patrons are eager to return for the culinary delights that await.

After a busy afternoon of shopping for sofas, we enjoyed a delicious meal at this restaurant. My daughter wanted to try some authentic Italian cuisine, and this place did not disappoint! It's conveniently close to our home, which is a bonus. I only wish I could have finished everything! We're looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you, Bella Ciao, for making our day special!
I visited this very local restaurant for the first time and was not disappointed. The authentic Italian food was fantastic, and I had a wonderful evening.

Probably the best pizza I've ever had en quality ingredients from itals, cooked to perfection by chef mirko and his award-winning team each in our group loved their food of service and ambiente in restaurant was top crucible. save them space for cannoli the crispy bakery and delicious ricotta filling is amazing!
Bella Ciao is an authentic, Italian run restaurant in the heart of Pontypridd. The head chef and owner is an engaging, warm and humourous man. We were on a dinner date and he was in charge of the kitchen without assistance and there were over 20 diners. Not one meal was returned and not one meal was anything less than exceptional. Absolutely incredible. The food was top notch and so was the service. Highly recommended. The only place in South Wales I go for pizza.

The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, with a small and cozy decor. The food is even more impressive, and the atmosphere is fantastic. I will definitely keep going back!
Greeted with amazing friendly service by the owner and then served some of the nicest Italian food I’ve had. The atmosphere was very cosy. Would highly recommend for anyone who’d like to try authentic Italian food!

The best ravioli ever, absolutely delicious! Everything we had was great, cocktails, mains, sides and desserts. I had the wild boar and ricotta ravs, husband had the meatball pasta. Desserts, the tiramisu and the Sicilian cannelloni. Absolutely gorgeous! Great value for money and the service was excellent, the waiter’s recommendations were spot on. Can’t wait to go again- so glad my daughter found this little gem so close to home. Lovely cosy atmosphere, felt really authentic!
Lovely restaurant serving the most amazing food. The pizza’s were delicious, the best we’ve ever had. We will definitely return!
