What NushySC doesn't like about Rincon Mexicano:
It's very, very difficult to find good Mexican food around here, actually, it doesn't exist, so let's give this restaurant the credit it deserves, it's edible. As usual with Mexican restaurants in Galicia, it's overpriced but not terribly so. The food it's nothing special but it has tasty tacos and enchiladas to the European taste. View all feedback.
The food wasn't bad but portions were small and everything overpriced. I ordered the enchiladas rojas, which were quite good but came without any tortillas, rice or refried beans. Fifteen euros and fifty is way too much for a simple Mexican dish. I can understand fifteen euros for a complete meal. I left the restaurant still feeling hungry. To end on a positive note the waitpersons were nice and the decoration on the walls colorful and pleasant to look at.
We stumbled across this little gem if a restaurant when visiting Pontevedra. The food, service, decor and price were well a ove expectations and, although a fair distance from where we live, we will be going back for more.
Really authentically cooked dishes, nothing tex-mex, very good portions, friendly but a little expensive. Would recommend.
We are from California and know and love Mexican food. This was a pleasant surprise ! The owner talked us through the menu which has fried tacos, soft corn tacos, and enchiladas. The enchiladas in the green sauce and carnitas were fantastic. Ask him about his spicy salsa we really enjoyed it!
