Caffe Alla Posta is in Pontebba our second choice, because the outdoor seating area tend to be rather busy with bikers and large pelotons of senior citizens on holiday on their electric bicycles. But there is nothing wrong here with the coffee, tramezzini and service of the staff; Caffe Alla Posta is a real Italian bar. Nothing more need to be said.

Bu... read more Alla Posta is situated on the A1 location in the center of Pontebba. Therefore it is often very busy with groups of tourists on bicycle and groups of bikers. But if you can manage to score a table in the outside seating area overlooking the central square of Pontebba, you will be assured of friendly service, good coffee, nice sandwiches and Pontebba street life. Parking is free after 13.00 hrs. In the morning a parking disk is necessary. A free parking area is located just over the bridge except on Tuesday, then the weekly market will be held.

The only thing that has changed is the refurbishment of the interior, but everything else was the same. The well prepared latte macchiato, the biscotti, the nice outdoor sit-down area, where you can watch Pontebba street life, the polite service of the staff and the reasonable prices. Caffe Alla Posta is the constant factor in Pontebba.

Settle down in the outdoor seating area with a drink and a sandwich or a roll, and watch Pontebba street life. This is very soothing. Service of the staff is friendly and fast and prices are very reasonable. Parking on the square is with disc till 13.00. A sure stop when on our way in the neighbourhood.
