Maria Pic-nic - Ponta Delgada

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Maria Picnic. The food was fantastic and the portions were so generous. The food was nicely packaged and the pickup and return was simple. We had a great time sitting at the lake in Sete Cidades enjoying our lunch. This is a must try experience if visiting São Miguel!

You can choose a picnic basket from various menus and take it away to eat where you like on the island. It comes with all the necessary items for a picnic, including the corkscrew if you choose wine. In our case, we were staying at the hotel Pedras do Mar, and Maria told us we could leave the basket at the hotel and she would come and pick it back.

We had a lovely picnic. Maria was very kind and the food she prepared was delicious. It was all beautifully packaged in a cute basket. Very much recommended!

You will have a marvelous day: first pick up a basket with plates, glasses,etc, a bottle of wine, water and limonade and off course the basket with food at Maria’s place vegetarian or with meat) and then drive to Fumarolas Lagoa das Furnas. A men put it in the warm ground, you go for a walk in the forest and after 3 hours: food is ready and have your picnic!

This was an amazing experience. Every detail of the food and presentation was done with such care. We felt like royalty when after our e-bike ride this gorgeous picnic in a gorgeous spot was waiting for us. Maria and Pascale were incredible host. If you get a chance to experience this DO IT!!!
