Khop Inn - Ponda

Must try if you are in Goa during June-July. This place will transport you into a totally different world. Set amidst lush green fields in a small village of Wadi between Ponda and Margao. As the name goes Khop Inn means a small hut in konkani. Run by group of cousins for their love and passion towards food, they serve only two dishes 1. Chicken Cafreal 2. Chicken Chilly and you have to pre order it before coming through their social media pages or contact number. The Cafreal is authentic and has a homely touch to it. It'll tantalize your taste buds. The Goan Chicken Chilly is spicy and nicely compliments the weather in monsoons. Both the dishes are served with hot freshly baked poi (bread) . The service is excellent given that they are not professional and doing this just for fun. Ambience is killer and i doubt if you would get better ambience than this anywhere in Goa. Lush green fields everywhere with water streams flowing besides this is truly a spot for an outing with your family and friends. Kindly Pre Order and go because their pre orders are only so full there's a very less chance of getting your hands on something if you haven't pre ordered.

One of the Best cafreal to go heads on for. Amazing taste and made with love. Those vibes this place and surrounding environment gives... Its such a surreal experience. One of those few places you will find with such open and nature felt dining experience. (Especially is rains when greenary is at its peek around). Only thing is the place is little of a hassle to find, although buzzing on every weekends. Pre-order just in case u reach late , coz they frequently run out of them amazing treats. Do give it a try for those hungry experience seekers.

Good food and a beautiful setting to enjoy it, the Khop Inn folks have got this one spot on! Make a picnic out of it, this is something for the while family. And yes, do carry your trash/empty packets back or drop it in the garbage bin that has been provided. As I said the setting and the food go hand in hand. Cheers!
