Trattoria Novello - Pompano Beach

I really don’t know what happened at this restaurant this past Saturday. We were there, a party of six, and it wasn’t at all like the place we had been to before. I chose the place because they had such good food and I had out of town company here that I wanted to take here. From the beginning we had a hard time being greeted, served and the food was generally not good! The waitress listed several specials but then said she wasn’t sure any were left, she would have to check. My food was extremely over salted and the people next to me looked like it came from the microwave. One of the others said his was so spicy he could eat it. The ladies room was out of order and my friend opened the door and it was full of stored items, she used the mens. All in all not a good showing for a place I had loved. Has somebody new bought the restaurant from original owners? They will go out of business soon if this continues. I am so bummed

The food was excellent. We started with the pulpo (grilled octopus artisan meatballs (mix of pork meat). Absolutely delicious. For entree we choose the lamb chops the sage ravioli. All our dishes were cooked to perfection. The owners are from Italy outside of Roma. Beautiful friendly atmosphere. Had a wonderful dinner.

We had a wonderful experience at this small intimate Restaurant. It seemed everyone was enjoying the delicious food and the personalized service from this family ran restaurant. My only only complaint is that my food was lukewarm and the lighting was too bright. However, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Very nice dinner. Mother daughter team provided great service food. Will definitely return.
