Houston's Pompano Beach

This is a wonderful restaurant with delicious food. My only complaint is that when you make a reservation for 7 PM, they tell you that you'll be seated at 7:15, and if you're lucky, it might be closer to 7:30! However, our waiter was very attentive, and the food was cooked to perfection. I absolutely love the blackhouse. My partner had the best dish and said it was the best he’s ever had. Our friends were also very pleased with their choices.

What could have easily been a five-star review ended up being four stars because we had to wait over half an hour despite having made reservations well in advance. However, both the Prime Rib and the fish we ordered were cooked to perfection, and our server was warm and friendly. The beverage refills, though, seemed to depend on whether the server noticed we needed them.

I really appreciated that the entree came with vegetables and starch, which is quite uncommon for a steakhouse. The side portions were on the smaller side, but that was actually a pleasant surprise compared to the oversized sides often found at most steakhouses, which are usually enough for four people!

The fresh fish catch and steak was awesome! We told everyone at our Hotel about how great the food and service was.

The food was fabulous! But the menu was very limited, which really surprised us. It was also bit more expensive than other restaurants like it. A pity outdoor seating cannot be reserved.
