We went to dinner with 40 people for a Christmas group dinner, choosing the restaurant for the renowned quality of the food and because we already knew it well.... read more We went to dinner with 40 people for a Christmas group dinner, choosing the restaurant for the renowned quality of the food and because we already knew it well. We booked more than a month in advance, but upon arrival, we found ourselves split across five separate tables, in different rooms, and mixed in with other groups. The cramped and crowded layout made it difficult to fully experience the feeling of a group dinner. The dinner, while good, was served very hastily: we had booked for 9:00 PM, but shortly after dinner ended, the staff began clearing the tables and clearing away glasses. It was Saturday night, and by 11:30-11:45 PM, we were practically out. It's a shame, because the restaurant is a real gem: with a little more courtesy, attention to table arrangements, and some advance notice of our arrival time, the experience would have been perfect.
