What Marco K doesn't like about Cadgers Brae Brewers Fayre:
The food at this restaurant is better than average, with fantastic drinks and a very friendly staff. However, the menu is limited, and at times the small portions and overly salted dishes detract from the overall dining experience. The staff is always eager to assist, and the drink menu is impeccable, offering a wide variety and exceptional quality. View all feedback.
This restaurant review is full of praise from my family, with no negative aspects to mention. There is a wide selection of food to cater to all ages. The atmosphere is laid-back, warm, and cheerful. The staff are always smiling, helpful, and polite, and willing to go above and beyond. The prices offer great value for money. As someone who typically chooses where to go based on reviews, I can confidently say that you won't be disappointed if you visit Cadgers Brae for a meal or just a hot drink.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for a long time, and recently celebrated a major family birthday with a meal and drinks here. The staff is incredibly attentive and always goes above and beyond. Mel has been particularly wonderful during our visits, as have other members of the team. This place is perfect for a family gathering or a relaxing drink on a beautiful summer evening.
Disappointed to be told the carvery on Fathers Day was almost finished when we arrived for a dinner booking at 6pm. I would have expected it to go until around 8pm as it was dinner. On the positive, we ordered from the main menu and nobody in our 5 person party had a complaint. The food and service was first class! Portion size was spot on and the meals were piping hot. I got breaded mushrooms with bbq sauce dip, then gammon steak with egg, pineapple, chips, tomato and peas, to finish was a strawberry knickerbocker glory... my grandson had chicken gougons and the same as myself, my husband and son had the mixed grills, my other son had nachos then the stack burger...it all came out in perfect timing to each course,no rushing us, no plates left sitting,it was so well run. Our server whom I didn't get his name was so nice. He was chatting with my son about his tattoos when he saw them and he was just so helpful and really looked after us. I will definitely go back here!
7 adults and 2 children bit of a mix up with the food starters and mains arrived at the same time (the request had been for the children's mains to arrive with the starters). It did make it difficult with so much food on the table! And it meant we couldn't really enjoy everything because we ended up rushing to eat before it got cold. Staff were apologetic and helpful, the little ones loved the soft play, and we all enjoyed our puddings! We have eaten here frequently over the years and we will eat there again, excellent value for money and good choice of dishes.
