Was Anonym at Epicure Cafe a mag?
Came back to the Hunter Valley a year after our last trip, and had to stop in for the corn fritters. Once again, they were delicious. Both waitresses were incredibly nice and attentive as well. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Epicure Cafe:
My group of 5 called ahead to book a table for a 10:30 breakfast on a Sunday morning. The restaurant was only half full however despite this, it took the staff 35 minutes to serve our coffee and a full hour before we received our breakfast. 20 minutes after the food was finally served, the wait staff kept coming to take our plates away despite seeing that we were still eating. We were a group of three and found the place by chance during a morning walking. The place seemed lovely so we decided to stop. We walked in and could notice that it was quite busy, but there were some available tables, no sign of reserved or anything like this. The staff ignored us when we walked in, when I tried to ask anything to them they just ignored and kept running around. It was very clear that they were short staff, so we grabbed some menus and sat down, after like 15 min waiting I went to the counter to ask if we should order there or if any of the staff would take our order, then finally one of the staff members roughly said there were fully booked so they couldn't received anyone else.I understand that it's quite difficult to work with short staff and that Sunday is usually a busy day for cafes, however it's not difficult put some reserved signs on booked tables and tell, in a polite way, to customers as soon as they walk in that they don't have any table available. I would totally understand if they had done something like this, but it wasn't the case.

We visited this cafe because it was rated so highly on trip advisor. There was really nothing special about it at all. We had breakfast and coffee. The menu is very limited, and i thought slightly over priced. The staff were nice but gave the impression they hadn't been operating for very long.

The restaurant is situated within the airport.

Nice place. Vege breakfast was big and tasty. Friendly staff and fast service. Relaxed vibe. Would visit again.
