What about subway? Yes, it's a chain, but the downtown franchise is well managed and it feels in the service and in what we have in the sandwich. The team is kind and smiling, and we even see the owner quite often. A member of the staff, short guy with tattoos all over (Benjamin I think) was super rude. In both the way he addressed us and in the way he was making very loud noise moving furniture recklessly all around the place.
