Contribute FeedbackEssence, the restaurant located in the Marriott Hotel Melbourne, offers a dining experience that has received mixed reviews from customers. While some have praised the great service, tasty meals, and relaxing atmosphere, others have found the prices to be too high for the quality of food provided. Despite the positive feedback on the staff and service, there have been concerns raised about hygiene standards and value for money. Overall, Essence seems to be a decent option for a meal, especially if you are staying at the Marriott, but it may not be the best choice for those looking for a budget-friendly dining experience.
Great service. High quality food. Look forward to my next visit
Food quality and volume versus high price not the best. For a 5 star hotel restaurant would expect a little more quality and value for money. The apple crumble desert was really ordinary with ingredients shoved in a deep jam jar. Fruit appears a little stale it cost $14! After coming to the Essence for several years combining my comments and also diminished menu, would not prefer to bring my reunion groups there again.
Hoped for a nice fancy breakfast, but definitely not a place for that. Coffees took forever for three at our table. Food was sadly disappointing.
We had such a lovely Father's Day breakfast at the Essence. We were not staying the hotel so just booked in for the buffet breakfast and it was delightful. The staff were all so friendly and attentive and the food was yummy. There was a great selection. The real standout was the service. Thank you for a great experience.
Loved it! My ladies and I feasted on fine fare and conversed happily whilst served by attentive and helpful staff. The food was quality and of a huge quantity. We were very full!
