What Luis Jimeno doesn't like about Alcide:
We stayed because we went to the Siena Visión clinic and it is very close. 500 meters from the historical part. The hotel is a little old, although they have changed elevators and doors, but the rooms need a facelift. Rooms: Rooms a little old, the shower is super narrow and without a shower head, only the water falls from above. It wasn't very clean. Our jacket got dirty with dust from a shelf. Good hotel with great location and friendly, helpful staff. The only flaw that concerns at least the room where I stayed for one night is the external fixture which left something to be desired. Excellent restaurant. Overall positive rating. Walkability: Central position. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Great value
I would not call myself a connoisseur of hospitality accommodations but, I will say that there are certain, basic things that I expect when staying overnight. Service, cleanliness, connectivity, privacy, and location. For this hotel, location was not a consideration for me since I stayed as part of a travel group. The service here was wonderful. From the hotel staff to the restaurant service, everyone was lovely. The restaurant treated us to live piano music and delicious food. The rooms were relatively quiet and peaceful which, I really enjoyed. Connectivity was a problem. I found it very difficult to maintain a wi-fi connection in order to stay in touch with my family back home. The signal was so bad that I had to tell my family that I would wait to speak to them until after we arrived at our next location. In addition, the cleanliness and condition of the room was a little concerning. While older fixtures and design are immaterial to me, I do prefer them to be intact and clean. The faucets, bathroom shelves, and shower fixtures did not appear to be very clean and the sink faucet was missing the top piece (still operable) so, I opted to use them minimally. Also, the side tables were slightly coming apart. I did have a nice, clean bed so, I was happy. Service: 5

Noteworthy details: The food in the hotel restaurant has a good reputation but the portions are a bit small and cost 15 euros or more. Friendly and correct service, but quite slow.
