Berggasthof Konig - Poellauberg

We drove out of Gleisdorf in the afternoon and drove back. You drive through the landscape was spectacular, both going and coming home. The restaurant has tables outside and inside. The afternoon was hot, but not too hot to sit outside. We shared an appetizer that was bread with several traditional spreads, including one with pumpkin seed oil, and another with bacon fat. For the main course I had the potato sausage with sauerkraut. Then to dessert a traditional dish with a fruit sauce made from local plums, which dipped for a pancake like bread. All in all, it was a good meal, although a bit on the expensive side. After dinner we went over the way to the church and to the cemetery. Both were beautiful in the late afternoon sun.
