This is the best Chinese restaurant in Plymouth! I ordered the seafood tofu soup and tantan noodles, and both dishes had generous portions and were delicious. The best part is that the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant! View all feedback.

The Red Lantern in Plymouth. 45 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink. Keith's back being slammed by the door by the delivery people. May as well have had the table for two in the lobby. We eventually were moved only to be...isolated from other diners. Keith's face says it all, the waiting is the hardest part When the food finally arrived it was actually not that bad, well you cannot fu#k up rice surely? Part of t... View all feedback.
The most disgusting food I've ever eaten. the reviews on deliveryoo are fake. I was wasting 30 pounds. went straight into the mull. Do not eat them from where they poisoned or sth. I don't know how they keep open like this. very disappointed.
Had a fantastic delivery of the red laterne tonight! that was eating as usual, top quality and delicious! arrived super fast to plymstock road through a beautiful polite lady over deliveroo! highly recommended! george pattenden
Ordered food on the phone, told half hour to collect. Arrived 40 mins later, to be told the food was not ready. Six takeaway drivers picked up their orders and I still had no food. Comedy ensued as the only table sitting in the restaurant...left without food! This was due to nonexistent service, the restaurant being freezing cold, and their table being next to the collection point for delivery drivers. I know all this because I was standing a few metres from their table waiting for my food, so you can't disagree with their reasons! I was told 3 times that my order would be ready in 5 mins. I was there waiting for my food for around 35 minutes total, my girlfriend even called the restaurant to see where I was. She was sitting in the car outside waiting. Finally received food, drove 8 minutes home. Food cold and poor quality and small portions. Checked temperature of Prawns and rice as felt cold, both 48C. This is not acceptable and unsafe. Called to speak to the manager, to be told I was taking liberties' and pissing him off The weird thing is that the chips were still sort of hot, and the spring rolls. So it can't have all been cooked at the same time. Wish I could leave a 0 star review of the red lantern and the people who run it. Shocking. You cannot blame this poor attitude and downturn in quality on the pandemic. Its a cheap way out for a dishonest lazy business owner to cover their utter ineptitude and disregard for food safety. Appalled. Pics attached, awful Prawn Crackers with dodgy yellow tinge, salt pepper chips with two slices of pepper, cold rice, cold measly portion of Prawns. A screenshot of the phonecall to order and when I got home after that fiasco. Will be reporting to trading standards and food standards agency. Avoid like the plague if you don't want the plague!! Should be shut down by food standards agency
The food was outstanding ruined by the constant flow of deliveroo collections and the lack of service.

Keith's face says it all, the waiting is the hardest part When the food finally arrived it was actually not that bad, well you cannot fu#k up rice surely? Part of the food I was eating was swiped away as soon as we paid. I nearly said Hey! I was still eating that So to sum up, it's OK if you like sitting in Deliveroo City
