big venue, great eating, but it's a shame that your tee arrives soon before you eat comes his cold and they can no longer drink had a good license from a friend, but it was all spoit when the waitress came back with a card...machine ask for a service fee we always tip with good eating and service and would recommend anyway leave something, but we were asked to pay back View all feedback.

This place is just amazing. The spa (Gaia), the restaurant (Acleaf), the castle and especially the employees will all give you an amazing experience.
We had the choice of small bowls or main meals, the food was excellent, very tasty and beautifully presented, the dinning room is draped curtains around the tables which makes the restaurant very personal. We did not feel rushed and the service was very good
Very Grand hall with lots of charm a great bar. The bar man knows all about Gin In Tonic with zest of any fruit you like. If a member of staff lights the fire stand back as there's often a blowback that filled the...hall with smoke has the diners on the balcony coughing. Goes great with the smoked haddock.Had a great time.
My friend and I came to the borringdon hall on the 6th sept. said the recipeist, we were very hungry and she led us to the bar/eating area where we are visited. we were totally ignored, although some waiters tried. to be behind the bar. only two more people in this room are waiting to be served and a few outside in the garden area. I still ignored went to the bar and asked for a menu that I received the drink list! I found a dame in another area and finally we got the menu. serviettes and cutlery arrived and finally the order for an overpriced selection was taken from the afternoon tea. tee came in glass pot half full of tea leaves. revolt and only enough water in it for one cup each. far too strong, finally replaced. the food came on such a small teller that I actually asked where mine was. two mini sandwiches, each one with a little sink 8n, the other gurke only, ultra mini quiche, mini-ding in a wrap, and soggy baked chicken thing. a total of 26 pfunds! not give up we waited and waited for one dessert. half an hour later I was looking for help and a dame has a waiter from the bar area. they have all turned to us, so we could not have missed each other. so despite the cost of £9 everyone we ordered desserts. we waited and waited and waited, no desserts arrived, but there was a note that serviettes came. a half an hour later I put the helpful lady in the blue dress and surprisingly only a quarter of an hour later desserts arrive. my friends cheesecake was not recognizable and looked like a trifle with still frozen berries on it. this whole performance lasted two hours. eating was a ridiculous price, and certainly nothing special, total £53 and the service was terrible. I had to get up at least four times to ask to be served. the manager must consider this and give his employees some serious trainings and a touch on the quality of food. I complained at that time, but it was not noticed much. we would not return and in any case not borringdon hall, especially if they are hungry.
