It was the first time for lunch. I saw how many locals were there. Everything was good. The bread was amazing. Service was super friendly. I am looking forward to returning and testing some of the other offers. View all feedback.
What Willow Ernser doesn't like about 42º North:
I would really love this place, but I can't! We live in Plymouth and this place would be an ideal weekend break. We've been trying to do this for several years. Love Portuguese mussels. And some of the special fish options. But EVERYTIME I get Prime Rib it is wrong cooked and is not good!!! At least three times. We'll send it back. Still bad. Wait staff is good. Eating is just not something we can rely on. View all feedback.
This restaurant is extremely popular, conveniently located near the main road, and offers ample parking. Inside, there are plenty of tables, and for those warmer evenings and lunchtime, there's a lovely outdoor area with a bar. The interior is bright and spacious, featuring a large tropical fish tank. The staff is courteous and attentive. While the menu primarily focuses on seafood, there are other options available as well. The presentation of the dishes is creative, and the flavors are delicious. I especially enjoyed the bread and oil dip. I highly recommend this place!
During our weekend trip to Plymouth, we decided to dine at this restaurant on a Friday evening. We arrived early, around 5 PM, and were seated immediately, although the place filled up quickly thereafter. The bread served was delightful, and my sea scallops with lobster and corn risotto were truly exceptional. My husband enjoyed the stuffed lobster, which was equally delicious. My daughter had the salmon, and while she thought it could have used a bit of sauce, it was very fresh and cooked perfectly. We also ordered two desserts to share, and both were fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
We ate at the inside bar and the service from the female bartender and her ?helper? was more than good. The food was tasty and hot and portions were large (but not overwhelming). My beef and the reason for 3 vs 5 stars was the ?admin fee?. Admin fee-really?? I didn?t see any mention of this charge on the menu, nobody talked about it before ordering and frankly it seems likenothing more than a money grab. When I got home I saw a couple reviews that talked about it but I read them afterwards. If it?snot on the menu and nobody tells you beforehand, it feels like a bit of a bate and switch. That notwithstanding, I?ll be back
This restaurant is stunning and serves amazing food. The homemade bread is incredibly fluffy and delicious. The tater tot poutine is exceptional, especially with the five-cheese sauce it comes with. The southwest chicken wrap was also excellent. My friend ordered the lunch special, which was steak tips, and she said they were the most tender she’s ever tasted. The waitstaff was very friendly and, even though they were busy, they did their best to attend to us. They made sure our water glasses were always full. I would definitely come back here again!
Great food, generously portioned entrees. Indoor and outdoor seating options, Most entrees were $29 . We went with a party of 10. Four apps, 9 people with a couple drinks each, plus entrees for all, bill was $576 plus tip. Do the math and that'sabout $70 a head. The quality of the food was worth it.
