Food was hot. Staff was pleasant. Store though busy was clean. Shelfs were stock in such a way to be convenient.
I have to say, this restaurant has really declined. The crust is unpleasant and lacks any appealing color, the toppings are of poor quality, and the pizza simply doesn't taste good. When they first opened, I was thrilled because it offered a replacement for Noble Romans pizza, but unfortunately, this place just doesn't measure up.
We ordered two calzones: one with everything except mushrooms and the other with everything except peppers. Unfortunately, both were overloaded with cheese—there was just way too much! My calzone had mushrooms but very little ham and only a few pepperoni slices. I didn't taste any sausage, if there was any at all, and it was filled with onions. To our surprise, both calzones seemed partially cooked, resulting in a gooey texture, especially with all that cheese. They definitely needed more cooking time. Since we live an hour away from this restaurant, going back for a remake wasn't an option. We're hoping for a better experience on our next visit since we enjoyed them so much the first time. I also noticed that during our first visit, our calzones were prepared by an adult woman, while the second time it was a younger woman. Maybe there could be a better system in place to ensure that they are made consistently? D.B.
