The Mrs picked out a new place today. Around 2:30pm, we showed up at Hooligans? We didn't know what to expect, we didn't even know it was there but, wow... First thing, the atmosphere was comfortable. The service was beyond what we expected (Sky, you are incredible. and she really set the pace for our experience. Then, then there was the food. The variety/selection was hard to choose from because it all sounded so go... View all feedback.
What Jessica Betschart doesn't like about Hooligan's Grill:
I've only visited about six times and each time I have had less than acceptable service. Nobody ever greets you, and you never know how long you'll wait for someone to approach the hostess stand for a table. I waited for over 5 minutes for someone to greet me before I left and spent my money at another downtown restaurant. The food HAS always been delicious. I guess that's why I keep giving it a try. Can't give the place any thing good as a review ....walked in sign said wait to be seated stood there for a good half hour no one asked for our name or how many people with us ...other people would walk in and get seated almost right away ...bad service totally not sure about food or staff
Considered not leaving a review at all, but I feel it 's important for not only the business, but for future guests to be made aware of what needs to be improved here.Upon arrival, the place looked really nice and welcoming. However, we stood at the entrance for at least 10 minutes, waiting to be seated. No employees ever seated us. We seated ourselves. Not a very professional start to our first experience. Our server finally took our drink order, complained that they were short staffed, even though there was only a total of maybe 15 guests in the entire place. We ordered 2 very simple to make drinks to start with, and waited at least 25 minutes before getting them served to us. I usually tip really well, but even the 18% tip that I left was way too much for the service we had.I could tell right away that it seemed like the staff didnt even care or had a passion to be there. After placing our food order(still without our drinks), it just turned into a waiting game full of excuses. We even overheard a few snooty remarks being made about our requests.I give the kitchen staff the ONLY props at this place. The bar staff and servers need some improvement when it comes to professionalism, service skills, and more of a drive and passion to make this place a better experience for everyone. As a fellow business owner, I would 've been ashamed with witnessing how my place was being ran on this particular day.
A gem of a restaurant in a historic building restored to perfection.Owner and servers are all lovely.Don’t miss the bacon wrapped sprouts and plank salmon. Crab stuffed whitefish was also delicious. Loved this place so much, I went back on a second night and much to my delight there was live music.Huge private back room available for private functions, also decorated with old world feels with an exposed brick wall. The gorgeous flower arrangements and details like the restored historic light fixtures make this place a must stop.
The absolute worst service I’ve ever witnessed, terrible attitudes from all the staff members. 2 hours and 20 minutes of waiting. No communication from anyone.

The menu is on the $pricey$ end. I like that they have live music on the weekend. The interior is nicely decorated. There is a front entrance with street side parking and also a rear entrance with parking lot.
