L’oasis - Plomodiern

Having been to the Oasis many times over the last six years, we were utterly disappointed with our experience last night. Although the starters were fine, the mains took almost two hours to arrive and my husbands meal was thoroughly over cooked with very little fish amongst a well of potatoes. The atmosphere was overpowering with stressed families trying to get some food for their children. We walked out after two courses with splitting headaches, abandoning our third course of the set menu. Sadly, we had to cancel tonight’s booking as we couldn’t face another ordeal with no apparent manager in charge and even sadder to write this review about a restaurant that we have enjoyed so much in the past.

Disappointing. The location is excellent, right on the beach with plenty of parking outside. In warm weather plenty of (unreserved) tables outside. The food was just average; not a bargain either. You can find better food elsewhere. The fruites de mer jumbo plate was amazing at a nearby table but looked like too much to each. Over €100.

We had reserved a table last Saturday for 2 people and a baby. We were very well received and well placed with a view of the sea. The meal was perfect and the staff took great care. We will come back with pleasure.

Excellent restaurant with a view. Tasty and generous cuisine. Perfect welcome and impeccable service. I highly recommend. Being housed nearby we also took advantage of the small garden furniture on the grass with a view of the sea. The only small downside for which I gave the atmosphere 4* (which does not spoil the moment) is the room one little noisy Thank you, we will keep good memories.

A very good fish meal and very well cooked, a must-do.
