Esprits Deco D'echos

We went in to enquire about making a reservation - which we did, and were asked what we would like to eat! The Maître made suggestions. Mostly they were more than acceptable, but when I asked for something different (rillettes) my request was welcomed.Our meal was splendid. In particular the haddock baked with herbs was magnificent.The service was good too. I have reservations about the décor, pretty much a matter of opinion, but the table was large and the chairs very comfortable.

Located next to the HPB Manoir du Hilguy is this small unassuming restaurant, designed to look like an orangery with its arched glazed terrace doors opening onto a terrace and garden, is a delight. The restaurant also offers for sale an eclectic mix of interesting décor/antique furnishings. Unusually & delightfully the owners cook to your specific order, meaning you need to order the dishes the day before your booking. The very helpful friendly owners will then shop on the day of your booking and prepare freshly your chosen dishes including starters of your choice, for which all dishes are expertly executed in a modern glazed kitchen. Booking is essential as there is only seating for some 20, as well as the fact that the chef needs to prepare. Due to their licence restrictions they only sell 3 wines which includes the well known Mommesin producer of Brouilly and an excellent Sancerre, for which only 20 & 22€ respectively is charged. Expect to pay 25€ for 2 lovingly cooked courses. An excellent meal served in a lovely setting with that very personal touch makes you want to return again and again, which we did twice in a week.A joy.

Next door to HPB Le Manoir. You need to order the day before and the menu is a bit limited.Its probably best described as a bit rustic but the food was fine. Fish for the wife and entrecôte with a great tasting sauce for me. Langouistine starters for me were excellent but a bit pricey at 16 euro. Makes a realistic alternative from the HPB bistro but doesn't compare in quality or value with Ty Pin.

We have just enjoyed a superb formule brunch at Esprit Deco D'echos. Extremely good service from the owner who also does the cooking. Food was very good as were the surroundings and ambience. Dinner is also served but needs to be chosen the day before as it's bought and cooked for each reservation. We are going home tomorrow but will hopefully be back in the spring and will definitely be coming here for dinner.

I dined here with my parents whilst on holiday in Brittany. We booked in advance and requested two fish meals and one chicken meal. What we recieved was absolutely exquisite. I had steamed fish in a gorgeous sauce and seasoned beautifully, with a salad (in itself seasoned amazingly) and also a celery and potato mash. My dad had the chicken meal which was flavoured and served on a bed of mixed vegetables alongside a salad. I am usually very fussy but this was simple but faultless. I have never been so impressed.I genuinly feel this was the best meal I have ever eaten in my life (so far!). The two gentlemen who served us were wonderful, polite and made you feel very comfortable.It was delicious, perfectly portioned, and quite simply: perfection on a plate. I really cannot recommend this enough, if in Brittany-you should check it out!----Je vais pas tout traduire parce que je suis pas assez fort en français! En bref-c'etait le meuillure repas que j'ai mangé dans ma vie. J'ai jamais mangé quelque chose si bonne! C'etait delicieux et bien fait. C'etait vraiment le meuillure. F.o.r.m.i.d.a.b.l.e!!!! et les patrons sont très aimables.Le prochaine fois je viens en Bretagne, j'irai dans cette restaurant. Absolument impeccable/deliceux et magnifique!
