My husband and I have spent the last week honeymooning in Plettenberg Bay and we drove past the Old Nick Village and noticed Roost. I loved this cosy bakery, come café, for a divine weekend lunch. The toasted sandwiches are huge and very reasonably priced. The potatoe fries, crispy outside, creamy inside, mmmmmm! Sounds like a love story, and it was! Very filling, but oh my goodness absolutely delicious. To drink, I had a homemade gingerbeer, totally authentic (like grandma made). Even if I just drive through Plett again, I'm stopping here.
My wife and I had a great lunch at Roost. Easily the quickest amount of time between ordering our food and having it on our table. My chicken and bacon toastie had a great combination of flavors, to also include cheese and pesto. My wife’s hungry hippie bowl was also tasty, and had a variety of flavors and textures. My gin and tonic was also nice. We both recommend this place for lunch if you are at Old Nick.
The owners and staff are super friendly and I have yet to try something that isn't delicious. Their Saturday morning market stall will drive you crazy if you visit them on an empty stomach
Service was good. Liked the names they put on the kids menu..
