Saw a billboard off of I-37 north that read “Pleasanton: birthplace of the cowboy” and decided to go find a bbq joint while on the road. Got the wrangler special (two meats, two sides, and a drink for $16.99). The order came out by the time I filled my cup and sat down. Hands-down the best jalapeño sausage I’ve ever tasted. We saw Cowboy BBQ featured on KSAT at 10 am on Jan 15 2022 and thought it would be a nice drive to Pleasanton for delicious ribs. I checked their Google site and it said that Cowboy BBQ would open until 3 pm. We showed up at about 1:20 pm and it was closed. Was passing thru. Wanted bbq. They were the closest. Was way better than I expected. Have recommended to several others.
Best Food, barbecue sauce is the great!!!! And the hospitality and family oriented wonderful people they are!!!
Had their brisket and it is so mouthwatering. Best i've tasted around this area.
Very good bbq. They do it right, low and slow. The brisket is my favorite although I've heard the Dino rib is the show stopper. I can't wait to try that.
Absolutely the best brisket, sausage and potato salad. Went by today from Lytle and worth the drive. ??
