This is my favorite place we eat on our annual family vacation to Playa!!!! The food is delicious and service is always nails!!! Remember you need reservations but we have never had a problem getting one. They had a couple of changes this year with the menu items and I didn't think you could improve but the entrees were even tastier and the tiramisu was absolutely the most delicious dessert I have ever eaten and it w... The food here is very good and the atmosphere and service is second to none. You will only need to dress up a little. My husband had the lasagna and loved it. I had the salmon and pasta and loved it as well. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Reservations are recommended but the staff was very accommodating after we got back late from an excursion and missed our appointed dinner time. The amount of food was enough for two meals so we asked to take our leftovers and our waiter carefully boxed it up for us and gave us a bag.
This is a great place for your special, celebration dinners. The ambiance is distinctly upscale with a more formal decor and more elaborate menu. After spending all day by the pool and in casual settings, it is a nice change to dress up a bit and enjoy a quiet, lovely dinner away from the pool and the beach. We started with the calamari appetizer which was excellent. I had the salmon entree which was served with a pasta in a lemon butter sauce. It was so delicious! As a birthday celebration, I was treated to a fun happy birthday song (complete with firework noises!) and a birthday dessert!Good food, great atmosphere. Try Tramonto!
We always enjoy Tramonto. The atmosphere is very inviting, the service is impeccable, and the food is first-rate. If you're looking for a special place at Vidanta to enjoy a birthday, anniversary, or romantic evening, this is it. You'll want to dress a little nicer than you do at the poolside restaurants, since this is a special restaurant. You'll also need to make advance reservations. Prices are a little higher, but Tramonto is worth it. We started with a calamari appetizer, and it was hauntingly good. My sister had the salmon dish and I had pollo al limone. Everything was fresh and delicious. There is a violin player who circulates among the guests but, sadly, never came back to our part of the restaurant. The waiters did sing Happy Birthday to my sister, and presented her with a tiny dessert. You can always count on Tramonto to really shine for your special evening.
This restaurant has great food and great service. Reservations are recommended. The Prime Rib on Tuesday nights is excellent, comes as a 3 course dinner, but all the other dishes are excellent as well. It is a busy place but the wait staff is so outstanding, one never feels neglegted or forgotten.
One of the main reasons why we returned to this resort was so we could eat at Tramonto again. Last time we were there we ate there twice and we did that again this time. First off, the wait staff goes out of their way to make you happy. Regardless of what you order you won't be disappointed, We had the meal plan so we got an appetizer, main course and a desert. Make sure you make room for those deserts. And don't worry if you can't eat it all, they will graciously pack it up for you to take back to your room for those late night munchies. They started something new, they have a mixologist that comes to the table to mix you up a tasty drink. They offer two sizes, regular and vacation size. Im not going to recommend which dish to order because we've had them all and they were all wonderful, but you can alway ask the waiter what he would recommend based on what palette you have. Regardless of your dietary needs they will whip something up for you.
