Riu Waikiki: Pool Pool

We spent a week at the hotel and had a lovely time. The rooms were a fair size and all have balconies. Ours looked out over the adult only area, town and down to the sea. Rooms were cleaned every day. Food was available all day up until around 10pm and there was loads of choice and all good quality. There are coffee machines, soft drink, wine and beer taps in the restaurant and bar areas so you can help yourself spirit's and cocktails are available from the 2 bar areas. We had entertainment every night and there were other activities going on during the day. The pool is a good size with loads of sun beds but we spent most of our time in the adult area which had a covered small heated pool with jacuzzi and again lots of sun beds. There is also a wellness centre there for massage, manicures etc. There is a shop on site but it is a little more expensive than the local shops. There is a complimentary bus shuttle to the beach but it is only a short walk. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.would recommend for families and couples.

Very good hotel and location. Stayed here for 10 nights with my partner, we went half bored so breakfast and dinner. Which we was glad we did as breakfast is pretty much same each day and not the best. The food does get very cold as left sitting there. But that’s what happens at most hotels especially buffet. Dinner was good, same sort of things just added new things each night. We didn’t go hungry. I do wish there was more options for desserts tho as I didn’t like much only ice cream machine when this was turned on. Definitely would of regretted going all inclusive. We did end up going out for breakfast and dinner a few times as was very bored of the food. Can’t fault the cleanliness of the whole hotel it’s spotless and cleaners do a great job in the rooms. You get a big bottle of water every day as well. Only thing we didn’t like was 2 single beds put together they slide all over the place when you move, really really annoying. I did request a double bed when I booked but looking at other reviews it looks like they only do 2 singles pushed together. Air con wasn’t great but we didn’t struggle to sleep we just left the key card in constantly and kept the room slightly cool. Good location. Staff are very nice and very police at reception can’t fault it really just a few little down sides but nothing major.

So on our last day here and the whole experience has been pretty good to be fair. The food has been nice great selection of foods in the main dinner room at lunch time and evenings, snack bar is the same each day but still good. Plenty of selections of drinks on offer we went all inclusive so the kids loved to go up to pool bar and gets drinks when they wanted. Entertainment in the evevings i find is very limited. Rooms are nice but we had a cockroach infestation I swear... every night coming back from having evening drinks we found one or two large ones lurking about. I put this down to being on ground floor but still not great running round trying to catch them at about half 4 in the morning... overall the hotel is definitely worth a visit.

I really appreciate the management for maintaining such a happy place to stay. Following are the outstanding points I would like to mention 1. Food was awesome with variety everyday 2. Waiters at the restaurant were soo attentive that every plate was taken away from the table in seconds after we finish the food 3. Waiters and cleaners were having smiling faces all the time and welcoming 4. Rooms are cleaned daily which many hotels don't provide. This makes the mood good 5. Wherever we turn there is food ex snacks place which provide food and drinks all the time. 6. Cocktails were extra ordinary and it was provided for free when take all inclusive . I was falling in love with it. 7. Kids would love this place where we have aqua pool area, play area etc., 8. Kids activities such as face painting, DJ club for dancing every evening and magic shows etc., So after a beach day in the morning we can relax with kids in the evening 9. I was impressed with this thing out of all that is there is a courtesy room where we can book after checking out to freshen up. 10. Luggage room to lock our luggage after checking out And many. This hotel is outstanding and I would love to come back

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff and a big thank you to the receptionist who helped us receive our lost luggage after our transfer from the airport. Negatives are the rooms are slightly basic, no kettle or anything so when you aren’t all inclusive this becomes a problem. Don’t go to dinner after 8pm, personally the food started to drop standards and you will be disappointed but it’s lovely when it opens at half 6. My other negative is when having a beer it’s nice to have a pint glass, drinking beer from a wine glass feels odd. Isn’t for me. But all in all, lovely get away. Perfect location. If you’re going I’d recommend getting a car out there and visiting lovely areas like mogan.
