The Grill At 1 26 - Playa del Carmen

We were staying at the Hyatt and my husband had a work dinner so I came here alone. My server was attentive and the menu had a good selection. I had the 8oz Filet with Truffle Fries. My steak came out as two small medallions which was disappointing, The steak was cooked medium as ordered but it was so dry almost like it was pre cooked and sat. There was a small ladle of pepper butter which gave the steak a Mexican taste and there was a strange little eggplant on the plate with a red wine reduction, I could have ate a whole cup of the red wine reduction it was so delicious. The fries didn’t have any flavor to me but were hot and crispy. Portion was on the small side so I had dessert, the hot chocolate Soufflé. The ice cream that came with this was strange flavored icy. The Soufflé was deflated. Prices are steep here I didn’t have any alcohol and my bill for a coca cola, steak, fries and dessert was $115, which I don’t mind if the food warrants this but it doesn’t, we could go to flemings for those prices and both my husband and I have a steak. If your staying at the Hyatt eat off premises, if you have to eat at the hotel this is the better of the 3 options available.

I celebrated a friend's birthday. I ordered the tacos and the risotto twice, which was really delicious. The meat dishes were really tasty. The attitude and the service highly recommend the meat restaurant. Hyatt training and thanks also to all the kitchen braids who work hard to make it delicious for everyone (I know how hard working in the kitchen is)
