What a funny place. we had a great place over the search 5th avenue from the top floor restaurant. the waiters are top notch and full of smile and very accommodating. especially we enjoyed the fresh guacamole that was made on the table side. are large, hot and beautifully seasoned. it was a positive experience.

My friends and I had our last meal in Mexico here. We got the surf and turf platter which was delicious. We were seated on the balcony facing the street and had a nice breeze throughout dinner. Our waiters were friendly and were always around....Jorge was a standout, he managed to carry 3 Margheritas down two flights of stairs on top of his head and let us take them from him. This really made our last night memorable as the overall experience was just lovely. Thank you very much Los Rancheros.

The name of the restaurant has changed, they are now called mexicali, almost missed it. we have eaten there several times in the course of the years when we come to visit playa. it still seems to have the same menu. our every visitor order is their whip, fish or. it is quite good, and large enough to count for starters as a whole meal. if they have a little spicy (as I,) they have to add hot soße there. the only problem was that they bring the chips long after the pico de gallo and hot sauce with the main dish. would be better brought out with the sauce? overall we still love it.

Went as a family of 6 including childrenFood good as was the service.However when Bill presented and paying by card some …300 plus pesos entered into the machine....Not service charge which we were happy to pay and did tip....but a blatant attempt at stealing extra money....Just check what is being entered.By his reaction I am sure I was not the first...
