We're here early, so we're sitting right now. I ordered a lot of food and ended up full and couldn't finish everything. I just tried the dim sum and it was delicious! One of the best dim-sum places I've had for a long time. The only disappointment was the fried shrimp balls so SMALL. they were great, but small compared to other restaurants. Customer service was great and waiters were always attentive to take away our... View all feedback.
What Cat HK doesn't like about Zhang's Kitchen:
Heard good things about this place so tried it one afternoon by myself.Picked two dim sum and two other dishes. Shrimp Rice Noodles 蝦腸粉 was underwhelming, had better from other places with thinner noodles.Crab Shrimp Dumplings also too doughy to my liking.Clams were tasty without sands found within.Salt and Pepper Tofu was also on point.Service was attentive and efficient. Will go back but probably not for dim sum. Full house tonight but service was good. Everything was good as expected but was surprised by the Peking duck presentation.Food: 5/5
Had Dim Sum here before, but I preferred to order clay pot here.Chicken and mushroom clay pot is a must-try item.
Of the several dim sum restaurants in the area, Zhang's is at the top of my list (and the kids love it too). Whereas the staff isn't very attentive or friendly at other similar establishments, the staff is always welcoming with us here. The Salt Pepper Tofu and Honey Walnut Shrimp are my usual go-tos. And their satay (chili sauce) is my favourite!
We have been going to Zhang’s Kitchen for years for one thing; the Dim Sum. They used to put the Dim Sum on carts, then COVID-19 happened, and now you order from a menu. Thankfully, the menu has photos. We arrived just before 3 p.m. on New Year’s Day. It was crowded when we arrived but virtually empty by the time we left. As always, the Dim Sum was fresh, hot, and delicious. We ordered our favs; Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Plain Rice Noodle, Sui Mai, Shrimp Dumpling, and Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf. We also go for the fun and cheerful staff. If you like Dim Sum, we highly recommend Zhang’s.
The regular plates here are generous size and good taste. We enjoyed Beef with mixed Vegetables and General Tao Chicken, which both come with choice of rice. The dim sum style steamed pork buns were not as good, but we'll probably return for the rest of the menu
