We love this place. First floor for families second floor for a more lively atmosphere. On Sunday in Brunch. I have a table in the balcony on the second floor. They do $1 Mimosas $7 places from Sangria on Sunday. The kitchen was somewhat slower than usual, but it was a nice day, so it was not important. We enjoyed breakfast Tacos, which had Brisket Egg and Steak Eggs. They give you chips with Salsa Black Bean Dip. Sa... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Urban Rio Cantina Grill:
The food wasn't so great. The ground beef tastes as it was from the taco bell with less taste. Rio Reis was dry. Has potential. What I wanted was on another day. I chose something else, they were out. So I had to calm down for this big mistake. Inside is beautiful and clean. Server was like she didn't want to be at work. We even asked if she was okay. Now the Margaritas...was amazing!! I'm back for drinks. As soon as... View all feedback.
The fish tacos were awesome their bean dip that came with the tortilla chips were great too! The ambiance of the restaurant was great too--you can either sit downstairs or upstairs where you can get a good view of Downtown Plano.
Location and price were excellent, service was decent. Food was ok... Mole salsa was very good, queso was good... But the enchiladas needed more of the queso, there was some kinda in the middle but the tortillas were left exposed and dried out. For $25 for dinner including a margarita though... I'll be back
I love this place. Great food and nice atmosphere. Try the stuffed avocados!
First visit there was incognito I wanted to feel the place. I have to give it five stars service was outstanding, food was delicious and ambience was great. Going back tomorrow by myself to enjoy another selection of their fine Tex Mex! Outrageous and Fun!
Absolutely loved Urban Rio. A few highlights: Chips and Salsa were top tier Drinks were phenomenal and reasonably priced Steak tacos surprised for being a seasonal option Service was engaged and friendly (shout out to Jay and give him a raise) Only a few negatives: Queso was a little simplistic for my taste Fajitas were simplistic but had excellent flavor. Not sure why they were on a bed of queso instead of a hot plate. Overall, we'll definitely be back and I'm pretty sure this will be our usual Mexican stop going forward.
