The food was fresh and delicious, reminiscent of my Polish grandma's cooking. I even enjoyed sampling other traditional dishes that I hadn't tried before. The Polish platter offers a wonderful variety of flavors! I wish they offered cooking classes, but I guess I need to sign up for them! The potato pancakes, pierogi, and kielbasa were all outstanding. Great food, BUT: Can't ever look online and figure out when they are open. Everywhere says some other time. Lunch does not like it is in their program: One place says open at one PM, the other says four PM. Whattheh is it? View all feedback.
Great and tasty European food. Visit this place and try their fantastic dishes. To be honest I recommend this place to all of you.
This restaurant is a work of love. The cook is anyone's grandma and you can feel the love she puts into her work. We ordered The Taste of Poland to sample several options with one plate. It was $28, but there was enough food for three on that plate. The cook brought it out and walked us through each item on the plate. You could see her beaming with pride over her work as she described each item. She was a little hard to understand, so she would point to the menu items to help understand. I love this kind of attention and care.<br/ <br/ Polish food is hard to describe. It seems to be based in pork, chicken, potatoes and cabbage. Bigos was my favorite. It had the strong flavor of sauerkraut, but was mixed with all types of meats and softened just a bit with a brown sauce. My next favorite was the potato pancake. It's had unique flavoring. The rest of the food was good, but has very subtle flavoring. You will not find bold spices here.<br/ <br/ The restaurant itself is well done. The decor is a slate gray with polka dot table covers. Polish music plays in the background. It's quite nice. There also is a side area they have created to make a grocery store of Polish goods. In back, there is a meat counter with all types of polish sausages and other meat.
Expanding my Food Experiences. I was in Dallas for business and wanted to try something new and different. This place fit that bill!<br/ <br/ I had the Mielony with a salad and green beans I'm a low carber. The hostess/waitress sounded like she was from Poland and was very friendly. The atmosphere here is nice with what sounds to be Polish music in the background. They also have packaged food products available for sale. I was very happy to find this place and have it endorsed by a local after the fact!
Delicious authentic Polish cuisine. Made to order and food is always fresh and with clean presentation. I crave the barszcz with croquette, and the pierogi are delicious. The market side has all the Polish groceries we need for holidays and also has a great selection of chocolates. A good reason to visit Plano. Definitely recommend!
Stuffed Cabbage (half order) and Hungarian Goulash for lunch: yes, I skipped breakfast (and maybe dinner too).<br/ <br/ The Goulash was served over potato pancakes; stuffed cabbage was served with mashed potatoes and a light tomato sauce. Both were delicious but the very heavy handed salt in both dishes was distracting.<br/ <br/ Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
