Excellent food service! We came for dinner with some friends and we all really enjoyed our meal. The chicken and beef kabob tasted juicy and flavorful. The salad bar had excellent choices, ranging from salad to fresh watermelon (and more). The owner was sweet and did a wonderful job serving and making sure we enjoyed our food. You gotta check out this place if you’re in the mood for Turkish food and want good service!
This is a very good buffet. The food is tasty, and the hospitality is even better. The owner is very kind and welcoming. It costs him nothing, but really adds to the experience, and makes us want to return. Sure it doesn’t have the selection of some of the other halal buffets, but the quality is great and you get a choice of fresh kebabs. It’s reflected in the price as well.
Tastier than Dimassis and Andalous. The restaurant is a one man show, and what he cooks is impressive. Best off the beaten path restaurant for Mediterranean!Food: 5/5
Great food and awesome hospitality by the Owner...he was ever smiling and regularly checking on customers about the food etc. We loved the freshly made pitas...so warm and soft. Best part was Kabob orders were made real time. Extremely soft and juicy. Everything was fresh and tasty, just as mentioned in the reviews. We will look forward to visiting again.

Normally, I wouldn’t let this slide, but I didn’t see the bill until after I’d already paid at the counter, as he didn’t present it beforehand. I do take some responsibility for not asking for a breakdown, but his great hospitality made me feel comfortable and I placed my trust in him. I believe he simply overlooked this because he was overwhelmed. The receipt was emailed to me, and I didn't realize the billing issue until I got home. Overall, the food and service were good. Please don’t take this as a negative review of him or his restaurant. Exceptional hospitality, service, and food are hard to come by these days in small businesses, and he manages it all on his own.
The food was very filling and absolutely delicious. Although it’s a smaller all-you-can-eat buffet, it’s definitely worth it. The gentleman who helped us was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain everything on his bar, ensuring we knew what each dish was. I highly recommend coming here and giving it a try!
My picky eater daughter absolutely loved it! It’s AMAZING. This place is truly a hidden gem in Plano. The owner is fantastic, the food is incredible, and you definitely won't regret visiting. We were intrigued by all the reviews and high ratings, and they are all spot on. You really need to come and try it for yourself!
This is truly a piece of Turkish heart in north Texas! Nothing compares to the hospitality of the owner who is so willing to share his culture though delicious foods and heartfelt conversation! We will definitely be back!
This place is an absolute gem I'm from Europe where there is a bigger Turkish community and i have been exposed to some the best Turkish cuisine on offer. I'm glad to say that Sofra is right up there with the best its my most favorite Turkish/Mediterranean food establishment and reminds me of a place in London that is one of the best eateries in the city without question as soon as you enter the place you are greeted with a big smile from the owner Ray who is an excellent host and makes you feel right at home. Especially for those who may never have had Turkish Mediterranean food he goes out of his way to explain the beautiful selection on offer and lets even the newest to this cuisine feel confident and excited to tuck in. An once you tuck into the food its a dream. I spoke to Ray about this consistency of his food and its one of the important hallmarks of this place that keeps me coming back the consistency of the food and Rays instance on making it to a high standard which sets this place apart. Fantastic food Fantastic host and great service. I feel so fortunate to have this place so close to me. Give this place a try you will never fail to be satisfied. I salute you sir for your hard work ! May your establishment continue to be blessed
